I Voted For Obama!

Published by cajunrooster at 8:21 am under News Edit This

I voted for Barack Hussein Obama in the election Tuesday. Most people would have never thought I would have done such a thing, but I did. And I will explain for my readers and my own journal why I did so.

George Bush has to be one of the stupidest people on Earth. Dick Cheney is a very, very close second. That’s bad enough. But to the Republican rabble that followed these guys for almost eight years now……….you are in worse standing with me than they are.

The reckless spending of the Republicans when they had control of Congress was just one of the most idiotic things they could have done. And look at what it cost. It has cost control of the House, Senate and Presidency. Instead of being conservatives for some reason these guys became ultra-liberal.

The pick of John McCain to run for President and the idiotic, but attractive, Sarah Palin for Vice President was just off the scale stupid. Mitt Romney should have been the nominee and Tom Ridge his running mate. This would have at least made Obama have to spend money to hold on to Michigan and Pennsylvania. Four years from now the GOP needs to do much better. Did anyone think the women were going to support Sarah Palin?

Listen to these names: Cantor and Jindal. These are the Republican names that need to move up the list. The whole party needs to be re-made. The old guard has to go.

We are in for some tough times. The sledding will be tough. I voted for Obama not because he’s a get tough guy. He’s far from it. But he did make a lot of promises and I like a man who can keep his promises! We’ll see about keeping his promises. I have some doubts, but I will give the guy a chance.

Want more reasons why the Republicans got hammered! How about “shock and awe”? I am totally shocked that with all our military might we are still fighting two wars after almost six years and awed by the fact that a bunch of third-world wingnuts have held us at bay all this time. How about “Mission Accomplished”? Now, that had to be the dumbest thing George Bush has said and he’s said some pretty stupid things. Then we had, “Your doing a heckuva job, Brownie.” I have to take back the Mission Accomplished thing………this one was even dumber.

Yes, George Bush is an idiot and his administration brought down the entire GOP. The man needs to retire to far West Texas and just stay there. Don’t speak. Don’t move. Don’t do anything. Just fade into the sunset.

So, I did vote for Barack. Do I have a lot of hope things will change? You bet I do. They will change for the worse. But I am up for some scorched earth policy for a bit. Rich people are surely going to get hammered. Big oil tycoons and such are really going to get hammered. People with jobs who pay taxes are probably going to get hammered. Our military is going to get hammered. Someone will probably sneak over and give us another shot in the gut like 9-11. But through all of that it’s still going to be better than having the Republicans in charge!!

So come on Obama. You owe a lot of people a lot of things; remember all those promises. I am ready to get mine. I am ready to see a lot of rich and greedy people get their’s also!!
